The Process

Week 0: Apply To The Fellowship

We review applications on a rolling basis.
The earlier you apply, the better.

Week 1-4: Connect & Clarify

Get oriented to the Workit fellowship, get to know your mentors and peers, and get clearer on what’s next and how others can help.

Week 5-8: Supercharge Your Growth

Level up your knowledge, learn from mentors, experts, and peers at the leading edge. Turn unknown unknowns into knowledge, discover new mental models, frameworks, tools, see real-world examples, and gain advice and wisdom from experienced leaders who have been there before.

Year-long Journey

Exit into the community. Access monthly for team check-ins, ongoing learning and connection opportunities via events, meetups, small groups, and 1:1 sessions to provide knowledge, feedback and accountability.

Week 4: Solution Discovery

What opportunities do you find interesting and energizing? What do you want to learn more about? Solution Discovery is about taking everything you’ve learned so far, synthesizing it into options and strategies to further validate. Refine your vision, create a roadmap, and design experiments to validate what’s next in the year ahead.

Week 5: Team Formation

Start designing and building your Personal Advisory Board - a group of peers, mentors, and connections from your network who agree to support and mentor you for what’s next. Learn how to tell your story to different audiences to support your vision. Get confident in sharing your vision and story with others.

Week 6: Prototyping and Validation

Get out of the building (and the cohort)! Conduct experiments to learn more. Validate your strategies, learning plans, networking objectives and more. Each person’s experiments are unique to their vision but known to the group.

Join a Trusted Community of Regional Product Peers

Fellowship Schedule

This fellowship will take about 2-4 hours per week. Fellows can choose to contribute more or less time pending on how many social events, curated 1:1 sessions, and deep-dives they attend.

FAQ

Who should apply?

We are building this cohort specifically for Product Managers and Senior Product Managers. Qualifications might include:

  • You have delivered multiple high quality products and understand the full lifecycle of product development.
  • You want to develop an intentional roadmap for your current product role and broader career aspirations.
  • You are excited by giving back and adding value - both to peers in the cohort and to the broader product community in Colorado.
  • You want a community of other high caliber product minds to help you refine your craft and share knowledge with.

Do you offer product or career coaching?

Yes. You'll be able to add a coaching package to the base $199/month membership. Our coaching package includes 6 sessions with an experienced product or career coach. This package is ideal for fellows who need additional support in addressing a specific goal or challenge. To learn more, please reach out to us directly or schedule a call with us.

Can I apply if I have zero product-based skills?

This cohort will be designed for current product managers who are ready to accelerate their careers. It is not intentioned for aspiring product managers. However, in parallel to designing this cohort we are working on what cohort will come next; if you'd like to stay up to date with new planned cohorts or give us any suggestions, sign up here!

What is the structure?

We are designing this cohort as an annual membership which kicks off with an 8-week intensive accelerator designed to jumpstart your integration into the Workit community.

What is the time commitment?

Workit fellows should plan to invest 2-4 hours per week during the 8-week accelerator period. Upon completion of the 8-week program, fellows should invest around 1-3 hours per month for the duration of the annual program. This fellowship is part-time and it's designed to accommodate busy work schedules.

I’m already connected to the product ecosystem in Colorado, why do I need this?

Our Product fellowship is designed to engineer serendipity between yourself and other ambitious and talented people in the Colorado tech ecosystem. Ultimately, we hope to be a force multiplier in helping you accelerate the speed at which you can level up your career and make your next move.

Although being already connected to the product ecosystem in Colorado is great, by joining Workit, we hope to help you make the greatest possible impact in your life and career.

How long will I have access to the Workit community?

Being a Workit member is forever!

What does it cost?

Access to our next Product Management Leaders fellowship is $2500.
90% of our fellows covered the cost of our program via their learning & development/training budgets.
If you'd like to expense our program, we would be happy to work with you and your manager. We've also designed this template to help you communicate the key outcomes of our program with your manager.
